Raiders from the North
– Alex Rutherford
Just completed reading the book ‘Mughals, Raiders from the North’.
Its interesting to read some authentic stuff from History. Basically, it covers the journey of Babur proclaimed as King of Ferghana at the age of 12 and his ups and downs of life. What attracted him towards India – the infinite riches and wealth. How he overcame unimaginable hardships to reach here. You get to know about various clans and their customs. India comes in at a very later part of his journey. But it feels good to learn that how evolved India was at that time in terms of keeping count of time or the counting system till arab, kharab at that time.
The book gives you the account of history in such an interesting way that you go through it like a thriller novel.
